Each pizza maker has their own secrets, and each pizza, which is created of flour, water, brewer’s yeast, and salt, can be stuffed or topped in an infinite number of ways.

The first pizza was made in Naples, southern Italy, near the end of the 18th century in honor of Queen Margherita di Savoia, Italy’s Queen.

It has a high “cornicione” (edge) and a lower middle, and is baked exclusively in a wood-fired oven.

Pasta
